It is important to us to measure the effects of these changes not only from an economic point of view but also for the health of the guests that Ti Sana is able to improve.
Analyze the efficiency of the detox process for the year 2015-2016 in order to better understand the results and effectively compare them to those of previous years to ascertain whether there has been an improvement.
Analyze the various subgroups which include people of average weight, those who are overweight and obese to evaluate the trend of types of guests that come to Ti Sana and how effective the different detoxes are for each of them.
Analyze the detox results from 2012 to 2016 to establish a recorded history of our detox plans.

The values reported in the list are related to the changes in results from the various tests that are carried out at the beginning and end of each guest’s stay at Ti Sana.
BIA-TOMEEX and MUS survey are the medical devices that we use to measure body composition parameters.
BIA( BioelectricImpedence Analyzer) allows the measurement of body composition, and of the nutritional state of the body l and the level of health of a person.
TOMEEX (Tomography of Extracellular Electrolytes) allows a measurement of the condition of the nervous system as well as levels of localized inflammation in certain areas of the body
MUS (Medically Unexplained Symptoms) are vague symptoms detected with a survey that the guest fills in before every measurement.
BMI (Body Mass Index) is the anthropometric measure recorded through the use of a statometer.

Efficiency of the detox process for the year 2015/2016 – subgroup normal weight, overweight, obese
During 2015 the performances of detox processes at Ti Sana improved despite the average length of guest’s stay being reduced. Compared to the previous year’s guests, on average there was less fat free mass lost ( increase in fat free mass). There was a decrease in MUS, an increase in the cellular energy at rest (BEC), increasein circadian? cortisol (PA) and for the first time a decrease in the intoxication of the cellular matrix (ECMatrix) . The results of the body’s ability to react correctly to stress (stress load) needs to be improved, as well as localized inflammation (DECW+). Some of the guests reduced local inflammation completely however a percentage of them increased inflammation mostly in the intestinal area probably due to the high percentage of legumes eaten or as a result of the Angel of Water colon therapy.
On average, the percentage of body weight was reduced (-2.5%BW) as well as the percentage of fat mass (-5.7%FM, -6.1%Abdominal Adipose Tissue). The reason for this decrease is as a result of an increase in obese guests who did the detox program at Ti Sana in 2015. A 2% weight loss for an obese person weighing a100 kg means a loss of 2kg as opposed to an average person weighing 50 kg which means a loss of 1 kg of total body weight. With regard to fat loss the results are the same: an obese person with 4kg is this a typo? Should it be 40kg of fat mass who loses 5% of fat mass will lose a total of 2 kg of fat. A person of average weight with 20kg of fat mass will lose 1 kg of fat mass. The higher the percentage of obese guests visiting Ti Sana, .- the higher the quantity of fat lost. People of average weight (mostly women) have better results in general as many of them can maintain or increase their Fat Free Mass (muscle and bones) more easily and they also have a larger decrease in Fat Mass with an average loss of 9.1% in Abdominal Adipose Tissue. This is due to the fact that they are sporty women (they react faster to the detox program and they can easily change their body composition). Those who are overweight are generally women of 40 years and over who are not used to physical activity. This means that they will not obtain results as easily(they don’t react as quickly to the detox program): they will have less preservation of fat free mass, less percentage of weight loss, a smaller decrease in cellular matrix.
Obese people tend to react better to the detox program (compared to those who are overweight ) due to the fact that they are men (they have more testosterone and they are more determined to reach their goal. We found they like to eat but they have good muscle mass that helps them to change their body composition quickly. The advantage to this is the loss of fat, the disadvantage is that they lose mostly is fat free mass because they didn’t eat enough. Compared to the other guests they have the best results with regard to a decrease of in MUS and they feel better at the end of the retreat.
Detox results from 2012 to 2015
This analysis helps us to obtain more significant results because they have been obtained with medical devices that are more accurate and a greater number of people have been tested.
Results show how these parameters are improving as this provides an index of the good decisions and actions done for the health of the guests.
Analysis of the influence of some variables in the detox process for guests of 2015/2016
Guests who did intense physical activity during their detox retreat (medium high – high – very high) have significantly higher results compared to the guests that did less intense physical and compared to guests from 2015
Intense activity means the activity already included in the detox program with extra activity with or without a personal trainer.
Guests that stayed on average for 10 days at Ti Sana obtained a better percentage of weight loss, fat mass, cellular energy, circadian cortisol (PA). Unfortunately they also had a higher loss of fat free mass and an increase in the level of stress/ localized inflammation (probably due to the long stay).
Guests who only followed the Healteatarian diet program (with no juicing) had on average higher results compared to the rest of the guests of 2015 with more loss of fat mass, more fat free mass preserved or increased, a higher reduction of localized inflammation and a better feeling of wellness (less MUS).
Guest who undertook a detox that included at least one infusion, had better results in body composition compared to other guests of 2015. They had a higher fat mass loss, more fat free mass preserved or increased and a better ability to respond to stress (stress load). Surprisingly, we found that infusions don’t help to reduce localized inflammation.
We have confirmed that the detox program at Ti Sana is functional for healthy fat loss. The data collected and its analysis gives us more assurance in the efficiency of the detox process i.e. reduction of MUS, decrease of fat mass whilst preserving fat free mass (muscle, bones, visceral organs) fundamental for the maintenance and improvement of health.
In 2015 there was a higher preservation in fat free mass, even though these results were obtained from programs specifically designed for the loss of fat mass. This is fundamental for Ti Sana ‘s as a possible expansion into the world of Medical Travel (that needs a supplementation of nutrition and physical activity)? Not sure what they are trying to say here?
In 2105 we reported a further increase in the buildup of fat free mass (muscles and bones) and for the first year the intoxication? of the connective tissue (ECMatrix)was reduced on average ( which is a good thing because the ECMatrix is used as an indications of the early signs of ageing which can coincide with an increase in degenerative diseases such as cancer). On average, guests feel better once they left Ti Sana as a result of the significant reduction in MUS (that can cause chronic stress).
Results show how during the detox program the intense physical activity, infusions of Vit.C and glutation, the Healtheatarian plan and a 10 day stay are beneficial factors to help boost health in a relatively short space of time.
However, we still do not have a complete picture of the benefits that the detox program has in relation to the improvement of inflammatory parameters which are often stress related (ECW, DECW+, PA, stress load). As usual, persons over 50 years old have the largest quantity of fat mass, have less aerobic ability and, a higher risk of loss of fat free mass. On average, their results show the least improvement therefore we will be concentrating more on them going forward.
In 2016 a new nutritional plan will be introduced as well as new physical activities (HIIT)giving us an e opportunity to improve on the aspects discussed in this report and generally improving the performance of Ti Sana as a detox centre.
