I have always believed that in every working environment your staff needs to feel how much their contribution is essential for the company’s success. The success of any business is not only about squeezing costs and increasing income, there is something deeper than that, something that is almost imperceptible. Everything that moves people to do what they do is always linked to emotions. That’s very much the case with the work for our staff members who bring the Healtheatarian program to our valuable guests. One of the most important aspect? of our company is that “we make people happy”, where we is made of people, who have emotions themselves, but these emotions are asked to be kept aside more often than they should.
I started at Ti Sana just more than a year ago as a General Manager and I loved the feeling and sensations I had when entering Ti Sana the first time… and I’m convinced that it’s how all of our guests feel. At Ti Sana we don’t wear classic hotel uniforms, we “high-five” guest when finishing a training session and we never miss a smile. The warmth is so intense that you could compare it to a home of a family where everyone is keen on taking part in the guests’ life, exchanging experiences. This attitute is sponteanous and authentic and this can only happen if every staff member is appreciated and recognized for their hard work.
I have always had in my mind the idea of showing to all our guests the true essence of each individual that contributes to their happiness and wellbeing during their stay, when I was finally inspired by an american entrepreuneur and decided to create our People’s Wall. As we see today with social media development, to have a personal window to the world seems to be the most revolutionary change in the last 30 years. This makes us feel important, being one amongst the millions, and it gives each one of us the opportunity to express ourselves in the way we want. I decided that this should happen at Ti Sana too.
We then organized the shooting and asked all our People to dress how they liked and to do poses during the photo shoot that felt represented their character the most. We told them to imagine that anyone should see through their photo who they are and how they feel about life.
It has been a fun experience, initially everyone felt imbarassed, but then had fun posing for the camera. Most importantly is that the result is amazing! I can see exactly the expression and personality of each one of Ti Sana’s People in these photos. And I love watching clients taking the time to look at the photos and smile. The overall enthusiasm while carrying out this unusual teambuilding activity has been remarkable. I’m deeply moved by such enthusiasm that makes Ti Sana the successful company that it is.
