I have professionally known the world of nutrition through the support of foodsupplements since 2010. I have no title that defines me as an expert in the field. I consider myself quite a good consumer and student of this world. I believe that when it comes to one’s health and well-being you enter a dimension in which you never stop learning.
I can safely affirm that I have learned two important general aspects:
The first is the fact that the very concept of food supplement has not passed its test in order to penetrate the market. It is often confused with energy supplements linked to sports or remains anchored to healing and therfore associated with the traditional “medicine.”
Let me clarify this confusion in my personal point of view. The word itself, Vitamin, is at the basis of healthy nutrition. There are various vitamins, minerals and fatty acids that are essential in everyday life. Many foods today are nutritionally poor, for many reasons that I will not discuss about now. The true simplicity is therefore to understand that good nutrition is the basis and that the search for dietary supplements that can deliver what our bodies need every day, can become a good long-term habit. The body is a fascinating machine that is available to us, able to function in the most extreme conditions. But as such it makes sense to think that it needs the right “fuel” to always be ready to perform at its best.
The second aspect is the fact that every grown man is responsible for his own health and he is the best doctor of himself. I think that the findings you come across are amazing when your main focus is to find ways to maintain and improve the state of personal well-being. Which I like to remind, is not only the absence of disease but a real knowledge of what we really need to do to live healthy. The research of good health goes far beyond the simple nutritional sphere, if you are willing to dig to the bottom you will enter a whole new world. Simultaneously it should also be clear that every parent is responsible for the health of their children. Children learn and duplicate the example they see. It is important to guide them on the right track with regard to nutrition and good habits. It will then be up to them to choose if and how to compromise themselves at adult stage. Food, Nutrition and Supplementation must therefore go hand in hand.
Everyone finds their own balance in everything. My invitation is to start getting informed and consider the positive aspects of nutritional supplements. I can only say that this is what I did a few years ago and I have never been happier to have taken a decision.
Thank you Edoardo and Erica for giving me space to let me share my opinion!
