Breathing is essential to practice with Pilates as it controls movements, allows the oxygenation of the muscles, stabilization of the spine column and limbs and relaxes muscles, limiting tensions body. Being able to control your breathing allows you to have a control over your body and therefore increase the sensitivity towards your own body and its needs. Breathing serves to facilitate and help you with exercises. Learning to breathe is therefore a great strength and if adopted in daily life can improve your overall wellbeing.
